PFGBEST.com´s Leadership
Russell R. Wasendorf, Jr. is President and Chief Operating Officer of PFGBEST.com. He has been active in the derivatives industry since 1987.
He formed the FOREX division of PFGBEST.com
to bring skill and capabilities in foreign currency trading, dealing and
brokerage to the company and its international client base of individual
investors and institutions. Mr. Wasendorf co-authored the book Foreign Currency
Trading published by McGraw Hill.
In keeping with the firm’s commitment to industry education, Mr. Wasendorf draws upon his varied background and experience to provide expertise and insight into not only FOREX trading, but also into global trade execution and trade clearing systems. He had a major role in building and launching the PFGBEST.com BEST Direct online trading system, which was the first to deliver customer orders directly to Globex in 1998. PFG’s fast-growing information technologies group reports to Mr. Wasendorf. It has just produced and added new capabilities to PFGBEST.com BEST Direct version 7.0, which in addition to simulated trading in a real-time market environment, offers all-new BEST Advisor and BEST Charting products to brokers and fund managers.
He also helped create SFO -- Stocks, Futures and Options magazine in 2001. Within just two years, SFO became the most widely-distributed monthly publication specializing in these investments and is now circulated to more than 120,000 personal investors, traders, money managers and financial advisors.
Mr. Wasendorf is a widely recognized expert on derivatives issues including international markets, full-service and online brokerage, electronic trade execution and clearing, futures commission merchant operations, foreign currency markets, and investor education. He holds a Finance degree from the University of Iowa. He is fluent in Spanish, and is frequently a speaker at conferences and seminars around the world for the derivatives and related industries.
